NASHVILLE, TN — No. 19 Vanderbilt men’s basketball snapped a recent skid with an important 84–76 road win over Auburn on Tuesday night at Neville Arena. It was Vanderbilt’s first victory in Auburn’s home arena in 10 years.

The Commodores (20–4, 7–4 SEC) jumped out quickly, making their first four field-goal attempts. Auburn briefly took a 21–20 lead midway through the first half, but Vanderbilt answered with a 16–5 run — part of which included 12 first-half points from senior Devin McGlockton — and carried a 42–31 advantage to the break.

Sophomore guard Tyler Tanner led all scorers with 25 points, marking his third straight game with 20+ points. Center Jalen Washington added a career-high 22 points on an incredibly efficient 7-of-8 shooting, including 2-of-2 from three. McGlockton finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Tyler Nickel chipped in 10 — giving Vanderbilt four players in double figures.

Auburn won the rebounding battle, 36–27, and the Tigers trimmed the lead to 70–66 with under three minutes left. But a timely corner three from A.K. Okereke and composed free-throw shooting down the stretch helped seal the win.

Note: The victory matches Vanderbilt’s total wins from the entire 2024–25 season. The Commodores return home to face Texas A&M on Saturday.
