Vanderbilt Commodores:

The No. 11 Vanderbilt Commodores continued their impressive streak, defeating LSU 84-73 at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville. Tyler Tanner led the way with 20 points, contributing to a strong offensive display that saw five Commodores reach double figures. With a solid first half, Vanderbilt built a 20-point lead but faced a spirited comeback from LSU. The win improved Vanderbilt's record to 16-0 overall and 3-0 in the SEC.


University of Tennessee Volunteers:

The No. 21 Tennessee Volunteers faced a tough road challenge, falling 91-67 to Florida in Gainesville. Nate Ament topped the scoring for Tennessee with 17 points, but the team struggled with turnovers, committing 18 that led to 30 points for the Gators. Despite a competitive first half, the Volunteers could not maintain their momentum, allowing Florida to pull away and secure the victory.


Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders:

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders emerged victorious against New Mexico State, claiming a 59-55 win in a gritty contest. Torey Alston was pivotal, scoring 16 points to help the Blue Raiders rally from an early 20-4 deficit. Both teams showcased strong defensive strategies, but MTSU's determination paid off as they notched the win, keeping their postseason hopes alive.


Austin Peay Governors:

Austin Peay's Governors cruised to an 81-69 victory over Stetson, bringing their winning streak to six games. Collin Parker shined with 27 points, leading the charge for the Governors. The team maintained control throughout the match, improving to 10-5 overall and 4-0 in the Atlantic Sun Conference, showcasing their offensive prowess and cohesive play.


Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles:

Tennessee Tech battled hard against Western Illinois, securing a narrow 59-54 road victory. Mekhi Cameron was instrumental, scoring 15 points to help snap a four-game losing streak. This win lifted the Golden Eagles to 7-10 overall and 2-4 in the Ohio Valley Conference, providing a much-needed boost as they look to build momentum.


Cumberland University Patriots:

Cumberland University faced a tough opponent in Lindsey Wilson University (Ky.), ultimately falling 79-73. Despite a competitive edge early in the game, the Patriots were unable to overcome a late surge and will look to regroup before their next matchup against the University of the Cumberlands on January 15.


Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans:

Trevecca Nazarene University bounced back with a commanding performance, defeating Mississippi College 85-68. After a closely contested first half, the Trojans locked down defensively, allowing only nine made shots in the second half. Trevecca shot 49.1% from the field and won the rebounding battle 33-30. With this win, they improved to 10-5 overall and 5-4 in the Gulf South Conference.
