DICKSON, TN - The Trevecca Nazarene University men’s golf team stayed in the hunt all week and closed strong to finish in a tie for fifth place at the 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships at Greystone Golf Club.

He also benefited from a strong overall run that included one of Trevecca’s four under-par rounds during the championship.
Maddox Burton followed in a tie for 17th at 3-over-par 219. Burton delivered one of Trevecca’s top individual efforts with a 2-under-par 70 in the second round. Alex Hamm came home tied for 19th at 4-over-par 220, adding an under-par 71 in the final round after shooting 74 in round two.
Wilson Borders, who led the Trojans through the first two rounds, finished tied for 25th at 8-over-par 224.
Teamwide, Trevecca struck the right balance of aggression and control, finishing with 34 birdies—the sixth most in the field—and 180 pars, the most by any team. The Trojans also ranked highly in consistency, posting the fourth-lowest par-4 scoring average (4.07).
