Vanderbilt Comes Up Short in Thrilling ReliaQuest Bowl Against Iowa

In a ReliaQuest Bowl matchup on December 31, 2025, the Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 34-27. Despite a strong effort from Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, who accounted for 383 total yards and three touchdowns, the Commodores couldn't overcome Iowa's early lead. Iowa's quarterback, Mark Gronowski, earned MVP honors, throwing for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Hawkeyes' defense also proved to be a major factor, sacking Pavia four times and limiting Vanderbilt's rushing attack.
